We get to meet the likes of Christopher Marlowe, Walter Raleigh, the queen of England and there's even a couple mentions of Shakespeare himself! 16th century England is definitely an interests place.
The main plot for this story is again the search for Ashmore 782 an old Alchemist text that is said to hold the secrets of how witches, vampires and daemons all exists.
Now 16th century England is probably a hard place to hide a witch (Salam witch trails right around the corner) but you would think it'd be an easy place to hide a book...there's definitely no internet search you can do and the world is a large place after all. But of course Diana and Matthew find it otherwise the story would go no where. Not saying they don't have to work hard to get it, there's a lot of expensive gifts, scheming and in the end steeling going on. But they don't get their hands on it until near the very end by which point they need to go home... To the 21st century before they make too much of a mark on the past. Diana comes away with a wealth of knowledge, she learns she's a weaver, which pretty much means she can weave any spell! Bonus! She gets to know the original Matthew the man who made him who he is today and also meet Philippe his father who finally convinces Matthew to really marry Diana and consummate that marriage, because yes Diana also comes back to the present pregnant. The gift of life between a vampire and witch with no help from the mysterious ashmore 782! We will have to wait and see how that pans out.
