Born of Fury centres around Hauk our Andarion warrior and Sumi a woman who has been forced into the League for killing her abusive boyfriend.
Hauk must take his nephew Darice on his Endurance, a right of passage all Andarions do to become an adult. What Hauk doesn't know is he's been implanted with a chip that is sending out a signal to all assassins so they can locate him. Sumi is one of the assassins sent to get information to prove he is part of The Sentella group. But instead she is hurt and Hauk helps her recover which results in her falling for him.
Now Hauk is pledged to marry Darices mother. It is Andarion custom that says if a male dies the next male in line marrys his wife. So after Darices father dies, Hauk was pledged to his mum who has refused him at every turn, due to Hauks battle wounds.
Sumi helps kill the many assassins sent for Hauk and Hauk begins to trust her and fall for her also. Even though he knows if he touches another woman he'll be put to death he still sleeps with her. He promises her he'll save her daughter from league custody, as she was taken from Sumi as soon as she was born.
Sumi is welcomed into the Sentella family and everyone helps to locate Kalea her daughter, but things aren't that simple. Sumi must fight Darices mother for the right to marry Hauk. While she goes off to fight we learn that it was Darices mothers lover who planted the chip in Hauk, she also just happens to be the daughter of Hauks doctor and she comes to his home and KILLS HIM! Sumi wins the fight between her and Darices mother and rushes home to be with Hauk. Syn being the amazing doctor he is saves Hauk! Thank god. And Sumi goes back to her assassin ways and kills Pari the doctors daughter who killed Hauk.
They get married Andarion style and adopt Darice as his mother is arrested for her crimes (which are many but you should really read the book to know them all 😜 ;) )
This story is full of awesome battles and a beautiful romance, two things I love.
I give this 5* stars!!!

I read and like her YA Chronicles of Nick series, but I have yet to read anything she wrote for adults, which I promised myself I will do and pretty soon. I love her sense of humor.
